Justin Verlander took a no-hitter into the 7th inning and Paul Konerko touched
them all and had 3 RBI as the Franklin Kites defeated the Duluth-Superior
Dukes 5 to 3 at Dodger Stadium.
 
Verlander(2-0) was solid in the win.  He didn't give up much, just 2 hits and
4 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.  The right-handed Verlander lost a no-hitter
when Carlos Gonzalez singled with one out in the 7th inning.  Franklin
out-hit Duluth-Superior for the game, 11 hits to 4.  
 
Mariano Rivera recorded his 2nd save.  Zack Greinke(1-2) was the losing
pitcher.  He allowed 10 hits and 2 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.
