Gavin Floyd whitewashed Duluth-Superior on 2 hits and David Ortiz cracked 2
homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Andover Cougars outscored the Duluth-Superior
Dukes 7 to 0.
 
Ortiz led the offense for Andover.  He doubled plating a run in the 1st
inning, doubled in the 2nd inning, delivered a solo blast in the 7th inning
and hit a bases-empty home run in the 9th inning.  Andover banged out 11 hits
on the afternoon.  
 
Floyd(4-6) went the distance for the shutout. The loss was charged to Cliff
Lee(7-5).  He allowed 3 homeruns in 6 and 2/3 innings of work.  
 
Corey Weisser was just happy to get a win, 'We've had such a bad streak of
games -- boy, it's great to get the monkey off our back.  Now maybe we can
relax a little and play the kind of baseball of which we are capable.'
