WEB GEMS- Top 5th: Michael Bourn robbed David Dejesus of an extra base hit.

Cliff Lee carried a no-hitter into the 8th inning and first baseman James
Loney hit a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Duluth-Superior Dukes defeated the
Belmont Park Met Milers 6 to 0 at Dodger Stadium.

Lee(1-1) was virtually untouchable. He was stingy on the mound, allowing just
2 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings improving his ERA from 1.13 to 0.53. The
left-handed Lee lost a no-hitter when David Dejesus singled with one out in
the 8th inning. Duluth-Superior banged out 13 hits on the night.

Kyle Kendrick(0-1) was given the loss. Lee was obviously very pleased with
his performance in the aftermath of the game, 'It was just one of those games
where everything worked. My arm felt great, heck, I could have pitched
another two or three innings. I only hope that I can do it again next time
out!'
