Left fielder Delmon Young hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI at Dodger Stadium as the
Duluth-Superior Dukes beat the Alexandria Dukes by the count of 5 to
4.

Duluth-Superior scored 3 runs in the 5th inning. The key at-bat was by Ryan
Theriot who made the home-town crowd a happy bunch when he lashed a single
bringing in two baserunners. Alexandria threatened in the 9th but
Duluth-Superior was able to put down the rally.

Chris Carpenter(5-10) got the win allowing 4 runs in 7 innings. Carpenter was
helped out by Rafael Soriano who recorded his 15th save. Nate Robertson(4-3)
was tagged with the loss.

'I always am most impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even without his
best stuff,' Mike Swanson said after the game. 'Carpenter did not have
command of his pitches most of the afternoon, but he proved he really knew
how to pitch!'
