separated the combatants at game's end.  The Inyo Face won by the slimmest of
margins, 4 to 3.
 
The game was won by Inyo with a run in the 9th inning. Todd Helton ripped a
base-hit.  Kyle Seager stepped into the batter's box and he doubled.  Josh
Willingham followed, but he was set down on strikes.  Hunter Pence was up
next and he slapped a single.  Yunel Escobar came to the plate and banged out
a single.  Adam Jones added to the outburst and drew a walk to load the
bases.  Duluth-Superior went down without a fight in the bottom of the 9th.
 
The victory went to Bill Bray(1-0) who went 1 inning, allowing 1 run. Sergio
Santos earned his 1st save.  Octavio Dotel(1-1) took the loss in relief.  He
saw his ERA jump from 2.70 to 4.15 as gave up 1 run in 1 inning.
