The Duluth-Superior Dukes edged the Inyo Face at Dodger Stadium by the score
of 4 to 3.
 
Duluth-Superior brought 2 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 6th
inning with the help of 3 hits.  After an out was recorded, Ryan Theriot
started the rally when he tripled.  One out later, Mark Trumbo came to bat
and slapped a one-base hit.  J.P. Arencibia then drew a walk.  Paul Janish
followed next and he delivered a base-hit.  Sean Marshall relieved and was
untouched by Inyo as he recorded the save, his 1st.  
 
Chris Carpenter(2-0) went 7 and 2/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory.
Mark Buehrle(0-1) was tagged with the loss.  'I had a little blister on my
index finger before the game, but I thought it was nothing.' Carpenter said.
'I was lucky I got a win because I couldn't put the ball where I wanted it.'
