Anibal Sanchez pitched 9 strong innings and James Loney had 3 base hits and 3
RBI as the Duluth-Superior Dukes beat the Inyo Face by a score of 5 to
0.
 
Inyo was unable to climb back into it after Duluth-Superior went ahead for
good in the 2nd inning plating an isolated run on 2 base hits.  That early
scoring held up.  After the 4th inning, neither team was able to score.
 
Sanchez(2-0) was credited with the shutout. Roy Halladay(0-1) absorbed the
loss.  Duluth-Superior knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 5 runs in 4
innings.  
 
'I thought it was my best performance in a long time,' said Sanchez. 'I had
good command early in the game. I had my control and composure and everything
went well.'
