In a thriling finish the Duluth-Superior Dukes pulled off the win over the
Belmont Park Met Milers by a score of 5 to 4 at Dodger Stadium.
 
The game was decided in the 9th inning.  Dexter Fowler ripped a single.  James
Loney was next and he laid down a sacrifice bunt.  After another out, Skip
Schumaker stepped up to the plate and he drew a walk.  Jorge Posada stepped
in and he ripped a one-base hit making Duluth-Superior the victors to the
delight of the home town faithful.  Duluth-Superior managed 11 hits in their
victory.  
 
Octavio Dotel(1-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 1 inning. Guillermo
Mota(0-1) took the loss in relief.  Duluth-Superior extended their winning
streak to 6 games.
