In a thriller the Maine Lobstahs staged a dramatic comeback then held on to
win over the Duluth-Superior Dukes by a score of 6 to 5 at Dodger
Stadium.

Maine scored the winning runs in the top of the 9th inning plating 2 runs
utilizing 3 base hits. B.J. Upton led off and started the rally when he
stroked a single. Upton was safe at second on a stolen base. Mike Carp
followed, but he was set down on strikes. Carlos Santana came up and he
blasted a two-run home run. Casey Kotchman came up to bat and reached on an
error. Willie Bloomquist kept things alive and slapped a one-base hit. Mike
Fontenot was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out. A wild affair,
this game saw the lead change 6 times.

The victory was credited to Scott Linebrink(1-1) who went 1/3 of an inning,
allowing no runs. Linebrink got relief help from Jonathan Papelbon who gained
credit for his 23rd save. Huston Street(0-4) was charged with the loss in
relief. He gave up 3 hits and no walks in 1 inning.

Street was feeling apologetic in the locker room, 'I sure let that one get
away. What a miserable feeling to let the guys down; and our fans. One
minute things are looking great, then. BOOM, it's over with! I just hope I
get a chance to redeem myself real soon!'
