Right fielder Carlos Gonzalez had 3 base hits as the Duluth-Superior Dukes
defeated the San Jose Scorpions in 10 innings 4 to 3 at Dodger Stadium.
 
Both teams had scored 3 runs after nine full innings.  Duluth-Superior won it
in the 10th inning.  After two outs Gonzalez ripped a single.  Delmon Young
next to the plate and he doubled resulting in an exciting win for
Duluth-Superior and a wild post-game celebration by the home town fans.
Duluth-Superior totaled 10 hits on the night.  
 
The win went to Kerry Wood(1-0) who allowed no runs in 1 inning. Randy
Wolf(1-12) was the loser.  He surrendered 10 hits and 2 walks in 9 and 2/3
innings.
