James Loney had 5 hits and 5 RBI at Dodger Stadium as the Duluth-Superior
Dukes beat the Maine Lobstahs 18 to 11.
 
Loney enjoyed a big day at the plate.  He doubled which was good for two runs
in the 1st inning, ripped a base-knock scoring a run in the 4th inning,
bombed a two-run dinger in the 6th inning, delivered a single in the 7th
inning and laced a one-base hit in the 8th inning.  Duluth-Superior bats were
very productive in the 1st inning which saw them score 6 runs on 3 hits and
the 6th inning when they had 6 runs on 6 hits.  Maine scored in 6 different
innings, but their shaky pitching kept them from victory.  
 
The winning pitcher was Kyle Kendrick(2-0) who allowed 3 runs in 2 and 2/3
innings. Chad Qualls(2-1) was charged with the loss in relief.  He allowed 11
hits and 1 walk in 1 and 1/3 innings.
