Carlos Gonzalez smacked 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Duluth-Superior Dukes
defeated the pitiful Southtown Misers by the score of 10 to 1 at Dodger
Stadium.
 
It was a good day for Duluth-Superior thanks to Gonzalez.  He cracked a solo
homerun in the 1st inning, smacked a single in the 3rd inning and belted a
three-run homer in the 4th inning.  Duluth-Superior had 14 hits for the game
and Southtown had 8.  
 
Anibal Sanchez(11-6) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 innings and
allowing 1 run. Sanchez got help from David Pauley who earned his 4th save.
Jeff Karstens(1-3) took the loss.  He was knocked around pretty good, giving
up 9 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings.
