Ian Desmond hit 2 doubles and had 2 RBI and Cliff Lee delivered 6 solid
innings as the Duluth-Superior Dukes beat the Montreal Sunsets by a score of
5 to 0.
 
The game started off with Duluth-Superior taking the lead in the first plating
3 runs utilizing 4 base hits.  Dexter Fowler led off and got things going
when he doubled.  After an out was recorded, Carlos Gonzalez stepped in and
he laced a base-hit.  After another out, Young got a good lead and stole
second.  Desmond followed next and he doubled.  Miguel Tejada came up to bat
and doubled.  That early run support was enough for Lee(13-7) and
Duluth-Superior.  After the 3rd inning, neither team was able to score.
 
Jon Rauch recorded his 1st save.  David Price(10-7) suffered the loss. With
this win, Duluth-Superior has a 69-51 record.  They have been 7-3 lately.
Daniel Valois was pretty down after the loss.  'We've really been sputtering
along lately, something like 2-8 in the last week or two.  That won't get it
done.'
